  • When Sammy Watkins was selected with the #4 pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, it tied for the highest selection in Clemson history.
  • Clemson has had 24 first round draft picks, including one in three of the last five years.

  • Clemson looks to have five wide receivers on NFL rosters in 2014 with Jacoby Ford, DeAndre Hopkins, Jaron Brown, Sammy Watkins and Martavis Bryant primed for action.
  • This marks the first time Clemson has had a quarterback (Tajh Boyd) and a receiver (Watkins and Bryant) taken in the same draft since 1979.
  • Clemson had 10 players taken in the 1983 NFL draft, an ACC record at the time and most in the nation that year.  All 10 played on Clemson’s 1981 National Championship team.
  • Clemson’s 1981 National Championship team had 18 players drafted by the NFL, including five first rounders. Twenty-two players off that team made NFL rosters, including six who eventually played in the Super Bowl.
